How to Choose the Perfect Condo at Waterscape Resort

Hi there! we are proud owners of a ground-floor condo here at Waterscape Resort in Fort Walton Beach, and we personally manage all of our bookings to make sure our guests have the best possible experience. Over the years, we’ve helped countless families, couples, and beach lovers find their perfect place to stay—and would love to help you do the same.

Picking the right condo can make all the difference in your vacation. So whether you’re new to Waterscape or coming back for another trip, here’s everything I’ve learned about choosing the best condo for your getaway.

Why we Love—and Recommend—Ground-Floor Condos at Waterscape

When we bought our condo, we specifically chose a ground-floor unit, and have never looked back. Here’s why our guests (and my own family!) love it so much:

1. Step Right Out to the Action

One of the biggest perks of a ground-floor condo is being able to walk straight out to the pools, lazy river, or beach boardwalk without waiting for an elevator or hauling beach gear up and down stairs. It’s seriously one of the top things my guests rave about in their reviews.

2. Super Convenient for Families

Traveling with kids? Then you’ll appreciate not having to carry floaties, snacks, or sleepy toddlers through hallways or lobbies. You’re just a few steps from the fun—or from a quiet break back at the condo.

3. A Quiet, Private Escape

Unlike the courtyard-facing condos, my unit offers a peaceful setting, away from the busy pool area. Guests love coming home to a quiet space after a day in the sun—perfect for naptime, reading, or unwinding on the patio with a drink.

Staying Close to Amenities = More Vacation, Less Hassle

One of the most common compliments I get is how easy it is to enjoy everything Waterscape has to offer when you’re right on the ground floor and close to all the resort’s best features.

Being near:

  • Main pools

  • Lazy river

  • Beach access

  • Grilling areas

  • Parking
…means less walking and more relaxing.

Whether it’s a quick trip back to the room or heading out for an evening swim, being steps away from it all makes your vacation smoother—and more enjoyable.

My Personal Tips for Choosing the Right Condo at Waterscape

If you’re not sure where to start, here are some of the top things I recommend thinking about before booking:

1. Set Your Budget

Waterscape offers a wide range of condo sizes and layouts. Deciding on your budget early helps narrow your options and keeps things stress-free.

2. Consider Who’s Traveling

Do you need bunks for kids? Extra bathrooms? A quiet retreat for a couple’s getaway? We’ve hosted everything from multi-generational families to couples celebrating anniversaries—and there’s a perfect unit for every group size.

3. Think About Convenience

If you want easy access to the pools and beach, or prefer a unit near the parking garage for unloading, just ask. That’s one of the perks of booking directly with an owner—we can help match you with the best location.

4. Check the Amenities

Each unit is individually owned and decorated, so features can vary. Our unit, for example, has a fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer, beach gear, and a pack-n-play for little ones.

5. Read Reviews or Reach Out

We always encourage guests to read past reviews or contact us directly with questions. We love helping people plan their trips and making sure they have exactly what they need to feel at home.

Let’s Make Your Vacation Easy, Fun, and Unforgettable

When you stay at our Waterscape condo, you’re not just booking a place to sleep—you’re choosing a space designed with families, comfort, and fun in mind. We take pride in making every stay personal, from the first message to check-out day.

So whether you’re a beach veteran or first-time visitor, we are here to help you find the perfect fit. And who knows—you might fall in love with Waterscape as much as I did!
